Exam Content Overview

This test covers: SDH/WDM/datacom basic theory. The following abilities are required. Be familiar with hardware structure, features, standards, board types, functions and interface. Know well about the detail steps of hardware installation, commission, data configuration. Know how to use DC tool, board-lever upgrade and package loading simulation and be familiar with MSTP/HMSTP/WDM test and acceptance, understand how to use NMS, know basic functions of SNMP, and can use NMS to add and monitor equipments.

  • Add and monitor equipment on NMS
Acceptance test
  • Know how to test service of TDM(E1\STM-1\4\16\64), ETH, ODUK, GE, 40G\ANY
  • Know how to test SNCP/MSP/APS/TPS/LAG service
  • Know how to use BER Tester and optical power meter
Software upgrading
  • Function well with DC tool, board-level upgrading and simulation package loading upgrade
Maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Know basic maintenance function on NMS alarm, equipments, problem information collection of NMS and basic problem locating
